Basic Computing Key Terms

Computer: a programmable machine that imputs,processes,and inputs data

Data: information

Input: put in information

Processing:changing,editing,interpreting information

Output: put out information

Input devices: devices that allow a user to input information or command into the computer (i.e. key board)

Output device: devices that ouputs information from the computer (i.e. monitor)

Digital: computers turn data into digital information that a computer can process.

Binary Code: the digital language a computer uses. 1's and 0's
